This year we had multiple opportunities to trick or treat. The kids love to play dress up so we have many costumes to choose from.

Porter has a little fall party at preschool for Halloween. He needed ten treats for himself, the teacher and his classmates. I know for a fact he will have enough sweets throughout the day between the party and actual trick or treating.  He loves orange slices and string cheese so I searched Pinterest and sure enough these are what came up. Both are available at Aldi. All you will need is a sharpie! I would suggest leaving oranges out of fridgerator so they do not sweat. The string cheese just needs to be wiped off shortly after taking them out of fridge.

Recently at work someone brought this pretty amazing salty and sweet treat! I found the recipe online and went to Aldi. Here are the items I used:

We started the trick or treat season out with a trunk or treat in Grain Valley.  Porter chose to be Salvy.

As you can tell most of the ingredients I use for recipes are from Aldi, but I have learned you can get so much more than just groceries. You can say we tried them before you buy them!  Here are five things that we love from Aldi that are not groceries.

Grocery List: Remember to check your cupboards before you go.  You may have many of the items listed below.  If you go to Aldi remember your quarter.

We are being pirates at our trunk or treat so we decided to make P's wagon into a pirate ship. Here's how we did it.

We were golfers the first year we were married. Most of this costume came from Walmart.
