Porter will watch one tv show and that is Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so it was a no brainer to be pirates for Halloween.
Here was the pirate wagon.
Although I did not want to get the actual Jake costume because I knew a lot of kids would have that one. We all had some sort of red and white.
Here was our trunk.
Overall it was a beautiful day and probably our favorite trunk we have done. Not to mention Porter actually had a good time and understood what we were doing. He even wanted to put candy in the bags of the kids who came by.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 can pumpkin
2 cups flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Steps:
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
3. Scoop mix into muffin greased muffin pan.
4. Bake for 20 minutes or until middles are cooked.
Makes 24 muffins.
Add cream cheese and sugar in the middle to make these delicious cupcakes.
We are being pirates at our trunk or treat so we decided to make P's wagon into a pirate ship. Here's how we did it.
2. Cut one of the four panels off and sliced in half to make the sides of the ship.
3. I panted "wood" paneling for the sides of the boat with brown paint. First traces in pencil.
4. Taped cardboard to eachother around the wagon. This was the tricky part, you really need 2 people. Used clear wide packaging tape.
5. We used a shower curtain rod as the middle pole and covered with the inside piece of wrapping paper.
6. I painted a flag. We backed it with cardboard leftover from the wardrobe box. Taped it to the pole.
7. Used a solo cup to make my three black circles on the side of the ship.
Final product in action at pirate trunk or treat.

Ok so here is an update from the most recent measurements of Porters head:
Just a reminder that he started with asymmetry of 9mm, we did stretches and got him to 6mm asymmetry diagonally across the head.
(October)
So we are making progress. The soft spot is still slightly open so we are going to continue to wear the helmet as long as there is a chance of more improvement. Thank you for the continued support.
Our schools art teacher made this chalkboard for the front of our school. The students can see the average attendance for the day and week.
